Information About the Choir
PROSPECTIVE STUDENTS Whether zoned for Lafayette High School or attending for special purpose, students can't help but join extracurricular activities. High on many students' lists is the LHS Choir.
The Lafayette High Choir is directed by Mrs. Holly Grefe-Andrus. We dedicate our time
to learning and perfecting quality music for use in competitions, performances, and concerts. The choir
presents an environment that embraces all students and guides them into becoming better musicians and people. Following
a simple mission statement, we strive to cooperate with others to achieve a wonderful musical experience, that which
cannot be achieved alone, while enhancing knowledge of theory and a variety of performance styles. Your journey with our choir
is all about attitude; come into class ready to embrace the music and you will leave imprinted with a gift more valuable
than anything else in the world.
During the year, The LHS Choir gets involved in numerous activities. These activities include the annual LHS Choir Fall Show, our professionally produced Holiday CD, the LHS Holiday Concert, the yearly LMEA District III and State Festivals, and our annual choir trip. The choir is also involved in several performances within the community, such as concerts at Fountain Memorial and the Art Walk in downtown Lafayette.
